Duration: 3-4 months
- Tuesday 20th May start, end date Thursday 11th September (Flexible depending on academic term dates if still a student).
- Open to university students and non-students
- Must be available for four full-time days a week e.g. Monday - Thursday 9am - 5:30pm
- Paid position

- Reports to: Marketing & Community Manager
- Location: Working in Central London from Holborn 1-2 days per week and remotely for the others.
Overview
NSE (National Student Esports) has grown rapidly since its inception in 2018 and is now the largest grassroots gaming community in the UK. Across everything, we take a student-first approach to ensure we always add value to the community. We elevate students’ university esports experience, helping them now and in their future careers. We use our knowledge to help academic institutions, games publishers, and sponsors support the student community.
Role Summary
We’re looking for an intern to support the NSE team at different points during the summer season. As the summer period sits outside of university term time, this position is best suited for current students who are available for full-time work, though it is also available to non-students and alumni.
The successful candidate will be working primarily on community and communications projects, admin tasks and also branching out into partner delivery, but will gain insight into all aspects of the business. We are looking for somebody who might not have the expertise or experience, but someone with a passion for esports wanting to get their foot in the door of the industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Helping with various administrative projects e.g. reaching out to members of the community, societies, organising deliveries etc.
- Assisting in moderating the NSE Discord channel
- Gathering information and relevant community feedback where necessary
- Drafting various comms e.g. social media posts, mailers and articles
- Creating relevant content for NSE’s TikTok
- Assisting in delivering partner activations
- Promoting community engagement in the NSE Discord server
- Supporting in the creation of online community events
Knowledge, Skills and Experience required
- Strong communication skills
- Passionate about gaming and esports
- Experience with Discord, TikTok, X/Twitter, Instagram
- Highly organised, proactive and community-minded
- Team worker
- Right to work in the UK
