Location: Central London with option to work remotely 2 days per week

Duration: Permanent

Reports to: Head of Commercial Strategy

Base Salary: £40,000 + commission

Role Summary

As Sales & Partnerships Manager, you will be expected to drive revenue across all parts of the Sport Industry Group.

This role is for someone that has a history of securing new business in addition to strong communication skills, experience in conducting high-volume outbound sales efforts, a passion for sport, and a knowledge of the wider industry and organisations that inhabit it.

We’re looking for someone that can take a proactive approach to sales and adopt a creative, thorough and organised approach to the sales process – from identifying target organisations and developing leads, to making approaches, managing the sales process, servicing existing partners and driving renewals.

As a member of a small team, you’ll be expected to contribute across all parts of the business, conducting various tasks across our roster of events and programmes.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Driving revenue across the business, including Sponsorship, Award-entries, Tables & Tickets, Memberships, Media Partnerships and Bespoke events
  • Driving engagement into the Sport Industry Awards and MAD//Sports
  • Building target lists of organisations, sectors, and key individual contacts
  • Conducting outreach and setting up new commercial opportunities
  • Conducting in-person and video meetings with new leads and existing partners
  • Attending industry events and following industry news to build our network and establish new leads and commercial opportunities
  • Diligent use of CRM system to track sales progress
  • Creating decks and proposals for prospective partners

You will have:

  • 3+ years’ experience in a sales & partnerships role, preferably within the sport industry.
  • A demonstrable track record of securing new business
  • Ability to build relationships with key decision-makers from prospective partners.
  • Knowledge of the sport industry – the core sectors and the key players.
  • Proficiency and an eye for detail when creating sales documents using Word and PowerPoint.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK and can provide the necessary documentation.
